The temperature surpassed 40 degress (officially) so it is officially prohibited to work between 10.00-16.00 outdoors (.e.g. construction workers). I am indoors but would not mind if someone told me - go home, it's too hot to work today ;)))

Heat wave
It's unbelievably hot - 41 degrees last weekend so the seaside was packed at noon ..

Spent the whole Sunday in my favourite resort - Nausica in Protaras which is somehow not so crowded. So nice and lazy..
Echo patishes
It is quite common that on Saturdays fruit and veggies sellers go around the city slowly slowly and shout through loudspeakers fitted on their cars ' Echo patishes, echo angurakia!' Which is a very village way of saying I have watermelons and cucumbers. They stop every now and then so that people can come outside their houses and buy stuff. One of them often stops under my window. I thought that this kind of trade is non existent anymore ...

Cup of coffee -frappe (that is ubelievable) 3GBP

LOT and pork
Now LOT - the polish airlines they put this note in the food.
As far as I know main problem with pork only the muslims and jews have because of their religion. Is Poland expecting a flood of muslim and jew travelers that it is necessary to have such a note????

Yummy
In the entrance to the park (next to my house) there is a giagia (granny) dressed all in black (must be 90 years old!) selling the best grilled corn I have ever eaten! It smells so good that whenever I can smell it from my veranda I cannot resist and go downstaris to get one :)
