Exploring British Forces bases

This weekend I visited 2 sets for a film that was shot in the area of British Forces bases in Episkopi and Akrotiri (exicting to see the production). God, the British knew where to put their premises. The officers' residential area is in the prime location: on a cliff, overseeing the sea (first wow came out of my mounth). The most beautfiul part of the bases the Happy Valley area – really vast green fields with golf (another wow), football and horseriding facilities (wow). There is also a small tunnel that goes under a mountain. The best thing is that its actually open to non-residents. Very close to the Happy Valley there is also a tiny Monastery of Saint George, hidden between the hills and muddy dirt roads. Below: 2 reasons that would make me aply for relocation to Cyprus if I was a British soldier.
